Onwards & Upwards

I can't actually pinpoint when I began running regularly. I know it was about October 2014 aged 47 but I didn't start using a running app until January 2015 and so I'll say about 12 months.
Neither can I say exactly how many miles or runs I've made as I've now used 3 apps and on occasion none at all. I do know that I've run roughly 3 times per week and my distance has increased to approximately 18k per week.
This year I intend to keep better track of when I run and how far as well as blogging where possible, particularly if I enter any races. Last year I entered 3, Race for Life 5K, UKTriathlon 10K and MoRun 10K - the latter of which I got the date wrong and missed so was gutted.
I'm beginning to look at possible races to enter and would like to increase my distance to include at least one half marathon. I'm determined not to enter anything I can't compete in fully though so have a way to go yet.
I haven't started the New Year making running resolutions rather than aiming for better including longer distance and more personal best's. So I will begin by listing where I'm at right now;

Fastest 1K         04.47
Fastest 1Mile    08.10
Fastest 5K         26.32
Fastest 10K       53.51
Farthest Run       6.8 mile

Another intention is to train more thoroughly which includes looking at what I eat and which additional fitness regimes I can put in - hill running being on that list.
So as I begin my second year as a runner - as I reckon I can call myself that now, I still have a long road and a steep hill ahead of me...
